Owls

Owls is our fantastic morning and afterschool service provided for Aspin Park Academy pupils, set in the grounds of our school site. It is organised like a home from home with opportunities for children to play, relax and explore. It has access to a small garden and allotment

Please read our Owls document before using Owls club.

Our Aims

We want children to feel safe, secure and enjoy the experiences they have when attending OWLS. Activities are planned to enable children to  discover, be challenged and creative. We aim to engage and capture the interests of children and take on board their views, ideas and opinions. We want children to develop culture, social, emotional and physical attributes as well as taking ownership of their time spent at OWLS with confidence and pride.

Hours

Doors are open from 7.30am. Children must be brought into Owls by an adult. At 8.30am children are taken to school by Owls staff who remain with them until we hand over to school staff. Children will be collected from school at 3.15pm by Owls staff. Owls closes at 6pm. All children must be collected before or at 6pm. Owls is not open on the final Friday of the summer term.

Booking

Bookings are made, and paid for, in advance through our ParentPay system. Payment is made on booking. Ideally, bookings should be made a week in hand, but we appreciate that this is not always possible. Bookings or amendments can be made up to 6pm the night before. Cancellations are also made by yourselves through ParentPay. We are a cashless organisation and only offer electronic services for payments or card payments, based at the school office. Please contact the school office for more information about Owls bookings.

Breakfast and Snacks

We pride ourselves in delivering healthy breakfasts and snacks with the help of our Owls team. We offer a wide range of choice for the children and cater for all dietary requirements. We like to involve parents as much as possible with ideas and choices.
